Round, sleek, simple, modern… these are just a few words to describe the Swiss design of the Aeris air purifier.
The body is made of a high-gloss plastic composite. It’s very easy to wipe down and the round edges give it a softer look.
Controls for the Aeris are located on top of the purifier. There are simple touch buttons and a display in the center.
The AQI is the current air quality index which tells you the current state of air quality. This purifier comes with an Auto mode so if it detects the air quality declining, it can adjust accordingly until the quality is improved.

There is also a lock feature on the display. When “locked” the settings cannot be adjusted, which prevents young children from adjusting the settings.
The Aeris air purifier is available in three different colors.
The color options on this purifier are simply for aesthetics and not intended to communicate aiddferent features between models.
How does it work?
To purify the air, air is sucked up from the base of the purifier and into the device. From there it passes through a 3-stage filtration process where it is cleaned and the clean air is then distributed back into the room.
The 3-in-1 Filter
The filter component encases all parts of the 3-in-1 filter within a single body. This makes it easier to remove and replace the filter, but also more costly because the unit is so large.
Aeris uses a patented Swiss anti-microbial coating on the purifier which helps to eliminate airborne pathogens without the use of UV rays.
This particular air purifier uses the 3-in-1 Pro filter, but Aeris has two other custom filters for more specific needs. This includes the:
- Medical Pro Filter
- Gas Pro Filter
If you are looking for medical-grade air filtration or filtration of primarily gasses, these other filters (and their associated purifiers) may be better suited for you.
The fan is massive in this purifier, helping it to move more air quicker. Surprisingly, more air didn’t necessarily mean louder.
RELATED: Do air purifiers remove odors?
On Quiet Mode, the Aeris emits about 35 dB of noise. On max power the Aeris creates 67 dB.
Aeris prides itself on the speed in which the purifier works, claiming to work 3 times faster than conventional air purifiers. We’re not totally sure what makes this all that different than a conventional purifier…as like other purifiers, it’s designed around blowing air through filters.
Nevertheless, air cleaning performance was exceptionally good in our tests (see those below).
One other feature that is designed to set Aeris apart is the use of the IAQ sensors. These sensors allow the Aeris to run more effectively and more efficiently over time.
In short this means that your Aeris purifier will run better and use less energy the longer you own it.
Aeris Size & Dimensions
The Aeris 3-in-1 is moderately-sized compared to other air purifiers in the market.
The exact dimensions are as follows:
- 27.6″ high
- 17.9″ wide
- 17.9″ deep
Although the size is similar to other models, I will add that this purifier is extremely heavy. It weighs 35 lbs, making it difficult to frequently move to different spaces.
Accessories & Parts
The Aeris aair 3-in-1 Pro purifier comes with just the parts needed for basic operation.
What’s in the box?
- Aeris purifier shell
- Control fitted top
- 3-in-1- filter
Performance on any air purifier is undoubtedly one of the most important parts of any purifier. If it can’t effectively clean the air, than any other smart features become a bit of a moot point.
Performance is gauged based on an in-home testing process where we follow the steps below:
- Use an air quality meter to determine current air quality (prior to testing).
- Run the air purifier for 1 hour.
- Use the same quality meter to remeasure the quality.
- PM2.5: 7.0
- PM10: 12.5
- Particles: 304
- AQI: 29
After 1 Hour
- PM2.5: 0.1
- PM10: 0.1
- Particles: 14
- AQI: 0
Within 1 hour, the Aeris removed over 96% of air particulates from the medium-sized room we tested in (approx. 12’x12′). Aeris improved PM 2.5 air quality by 99%.
In terms of usability, the Aeris is really quite intuitive and easy to operate.
To get up and running, we simply:
- Unboxed the purifier and removed all packaging.
- Turn it on.
If you want to adjust the settings at anytime you can do that using the manual controls on top of the purifier.
The controls on the top of the unit allow for simple functions including:
- Power on / off
- Adjust fan speed
- View current air quality on the display
- Lock display
Although I did mention that this purifier is quite heavy and difficult to move, I will add here that is does have wheels on the base. If you have hard surface flooring, the wheels can help you move the purifier around, as needed, without the heavy lifting.
That said, the design of the wheels isn’t great. While their low profile design makes them less visible, they don’t rotate as easily as I would like.
How does the app work?
The app, once paired with the device, can be used to:
- Set the operation mode.
- Compare indoor air quality to outdoor air quality.
- Teach the device your daily schedule for higher performance.
Connecting the Aeris to Wifi
Setting up wifi on the Aeris is simple and quick for most users, assuming you have a strong connection. Simply follow the steps below.
- Hold the ‘a’ button on the device for 30 seconds until the device resets and indicates “I’m listening” on its display.
- Go into the aeris app on your smartphone and click the “+” on the main screen after having logged into your account.
- Follow the remaining steps until pairing is completer.
Proper maintenance of the Aeris air purifier means checking the purifier regularly and replacing as needed.
According to the manufacturer, the filter is designed to last up to 6 months.
When it’s time to clean or replace it, there are small pull tabs that allow you to easily lift it up and out of the body of the purifier.
Concering the overall value of the Aeris, I would have to say, I’ve got mixed feelings.
On one hand, the purifier is really high quality and did an excellent job of purifying the air in our test. It has fantastic area coverage.
On the other hand, the price is exceptionally high.
In addition to the high performance, you’re also paying for the sleek aesthetic and the Swiss brand.
If these things aren’t important to you, you could likely get a purifier manufactured elsewhere that cleans the air just as well and at a notably lower price point (for both the unit and replacement filters).
Should you buy the Aeris aair 3-in-1 Pro purifier?
I would recommend the Aeris air purifier if you’re looking for the following features in an air purifier:
- Large area coverage: The 750 sf. spread of the Aeris air purifier is large and can accommodate a variety of spaces including residential areas or even business or office applications.
- 3-in-1 Filtration: The Aeris comes with a standard 3-in-1 purifier that uses three different types of filtration material to better cleanse the air and at a faster rate than conventional air purifier.
- European-made products: If you’re specifically in the market for European / Swiss manufactured items, the Aeris aair 3-in-1 purifier is a fantastic option. It performed well during our testing process and is a very well made air purifier.
Extraordinary Quality, But Expensive
The Aeris aair 3-in-1 Pro purifier is a powerful purifier designed for tackling large spaces up to 750 sf. You can control it using physical controls on the unit itself or using app-based controls. In addition, it also has intelligence technology that allows it to learn about your patterns and habits and become more efficient the longer you use it. During our performance test, it did fantastic at cleaning the air and is a solid option to consider, budget permitting.
