Choosing the best mop for you

If you’re still struggling to decide the best mop for you, ask yourself the following questions:

What is your budget?

Your budget will largely determine the best mops that will be available to you.

If you need to keep the price under $25 you’re looking at the Swiffer WetJet or O-Cedar Microfber cloth mop, among a few others.

If you’re able to step up to around $50 you have several great options, including the O-Cedar EasyWring, Microfiber Wholesale Professional 18″, and Libman Wonder mop.

if you’re able to go up to $100 you open yourself up to the steam mops, including the Shark Steam pocket mop and Bissell PowerFresh.

Budget not a restriction on you? Take your pick! The most pricey best mops on our list are the Bissell Crosswave and iRobot Braava 380t, which both add a high degree of versatility and convenience (respectively), over many of the other mops.

How do you prefer to clean?

QUICK & EASY | If you prefer being able to dry or damp clean, a microfiber or spray mop is going to be the better choice. These mops can be used by just getting the microfiber slightly damp, dry, or by spraying a bit of your favorite cleaner solution as you clean.

The Wholesale Microfiber 18″, Starfiber Star mop, and Swiffer WetJet would all be good choices.

DEEP & THOROUGH | If you want to be able to fully submerge the mop, you’ll probably be looking for a more classic mop and bucket setup.

The O-Cedar EasyWring and Mopnado are both good for this.

ULTIMATE CONVENIENCE | If you’re looking for pure convenience you’ll want a robot mop, in which case the iRobot Braava 380t is the best choice. See our robot vacuum reviews for convenience on your vacuuming chores.

SANITARY | Lastly, if you want the most sanitary clean, then you’ll be wanting a steam mop. In which case the Shark Steam pocket mop or Bissell PowerFresh are your ideal candidates.
