The Jet 90 performed well during our cleaning tests. We used the Turbo Action brushroll during testing, and it removed 97-100% of all debris types.
While testing on hardwood floor, the Jet 90 had some clogging issues with the cereal. However, we changed the suction mode to Max, and it resolved the issue completely.
Otherwise, the Jet 90 only seemed to struggle with removing smaller debris types on low pile carpet. During our tests, the Jet 90 removed only 88% of the sugar. However, this is a common issue among stick vacuums, but something to keep in mind.
Overall, Samsung’s Jet 90 performed well during testing, and was able to adjust to the situation well.

LG CordZero A9 Cleaning Performance
The CordZero did a good job in a testing series. We used the Universal Power nozzle during the tests, and ran the vacuum on the highest suction mode: Turbo.

While these scores are lower than the other vacuums in this comparison, it doesn’t tell the full story. The CordZero successfully managed most debris types including kitty litter, rice, and sugar. However, it really struggled with cereal.
During our testing, the cereal would clog in the neck of the vacuum before entering the dust bin. After turning off the power, the vacuum would spit the cereal back onto the testing lane. Having this type of clogging is common among stick vacuums, including the Jet 90 clogging on lower suctions modes.
If you remove cereal from the equation then the CordZero performed notably better. The data below shows the cleaning scores when cereal is excluded.

The CordZero was successfully able to remove all debris types, but it experienced the clogging issue across all floor types.
As you can see in the before and after photos, the CordZero was able to remove the majority of the smaller debris, and left mostly cereal behind.

Dyson V15 Cleaning Performance
The V15 was the best performer in this comparison, due to its ability to effectively manage all debris types. We used the High Torque head for most of the testing, however we used the Fluffy cleaning head on hardwood floors.

The Dyson V15 showcased excellent performance removing 99-100% of all debris across all 3 floor types.
It successfully removed all debris on the hardwood floor. The Fluffy cleaning head is designed for hardwood floors and was able to manage them well.
The Dyson didn’t seem to have the same issues with clogging that we noticed with the other vacuums. However, we did notice that with the suction on Turbo (the maximum suction power) and the front seal gates fully lowered, the brushroll would create too much down force and stop spinning.
This could have just been an issue with our flooring, but we were able to adjust settings and successfully continue cleaning.

Run Time Performance
The run time can vary for each vacuum depending on the mode choses and tools attached. For our runtime tests, we used the standard motorized cleaning head and a singular battery for each vacuum.
Suction Mode | Samsung Jet 90 | LG CordZero | Dyson V15 |
---|---|---|---|
Low | 43:30 mins. | 56:10 mins. | 68:30 mins. |
Normal | 24:00 mins. | 29:06 mins. | 45:30 mins. |
Max | 10:00 mins. | 07:11 mins. | 08:55 mins. |
Max. Run Time:* | 60 mins. | 60 mins. | 60 mins. |
*This max time is the number listed by the manufacturer.
In most cases, the V15 proved to have the longest run time of the 3 vacuums, with the Jet 90 having the longest run time on the highest suction mode.
The CordZero comes with an extra battery that can charged simultaneously. This effectively doubles the run time as you can quickly switch out a new battery and continue cleaning. The other vacuums have removable batteries, however additional batteries must be purchased.
While cleaning on a single battery Dyson is the clear winner. However, the Jet 90 would be a great choice if you plan on running the vacuum on the max suction and want the most time. If you don’t mind switching out the battery, than the CordZero is a great choice for long cleaning sessions.
Noise Test
Next, we tested the noise generated by each vacuum on the various modes.
Low
69 dB
Medium

Maximum
74 dB
The Jet 90 is similar in volume to the other vacuums being slightly quieter than the Dyson V15. It generates sound in the ~69-74 dB range. This sound is similar to that of traffic or a shower.
Normal
55 dB
Power
58 dB
Turbo
63 dB
Self-Empty
66 dB
The sound made by the CordZero falls in the ~55-66 dB range, which is the quietest of the 3 vacuums. This is similar to the hum of a refrigerator or a running dishwasher.

Boost
76 dB
The V15 generated noise within the ~71-76 dB range, which is a degree louder than the CordZero. The level of sound is similar to that of a shower running in the background.
Common noise levels:
- 20 dB – rustling leaves
- 30 dB – whisper
- 40 dB – quiet library, babbling brook
- 50 dB – refrigerator, moderate rainfall
- 60 dB – normal conversation, dishwashers
- 70 dB – traffic, showers
- 80 dB – alarm clock, telephone dial tone
Usability Test
Setting up the different vacuums in comparable and simple. They all come with a variety of accessories and tools. Each vacuum can be adjusted to work in handheld mode. The bodies of the vacuum each have a unique design, but are similar in overall size.
All 3 vacuums are designed to be maneuvered easily. They are equipped to make tight turns and reach under low furniture laying almost completely flat on the ground.
While they are similar in functionality, there are some key differences that set each vacuum apart from the others.
Samsung Jet 90 Usability
The following are some of the notable features included with the Jet 90:
- Accessories
- Telescoping wand
- Free-standing base
The Jet 90 is the only vacuum that comes with the Flexible tool. This attachment increases the vacuums maneuverability which is a great addition for cleaning hard to reach corners.
Both the Jet 90 and CordZero have a telescoping wand unlike the V15. The Telescoping wand allows the user to extend and contract the device as needed to get the perfect length.
Having a free-standing base is nice when you need to adjust the charging location of the device on the fly. The base can charge an additional battery, and stores the accessories that come with the vacuum
LG CordZero Usability
As mentioned previously, the CordZero includes an additional battery and telescoping wand. Additionally, it has some other key differences from the other 2 vacuums:
- Auto Empty base
- App
- Compressor
While it doesn’t have the maneuverability of the free-standing base included with the Jet 90, the auto empty base is far more robust in functionality. It stores all the accessories that come with the vacuum and charges an additional battery.
Furthermore, the base can automatically empty the dust bin of the CordZero. This reduces the amount of overall maintenance needed for the vacuum.
Having an app for a stick vacuum may not be for everyone. But for those who want it, the LG ThinQ app gives usage report and real time charging information for the vacuum.
Finally, the compressor on the vacuum of the body is used to compress debris as your vacuum. This increases the effective size of the dust bin, allowing the user to compress high-volume debris like pet fur and continue cleaning.
Dyson V15 Usability
The Dyson V15 has unique accessories and features that greatly improve usability.
- Unique vacuum body
- Automatic suction adjustment
- Real time cleaning information
While there is no way to automatically empty the dust bin, the V15 body includes a “point-and-shoot” style dust bin that can be emptied quickly.
Additionally, Dyson constructs their vacuums with trigger controls rather than a button alternative like the CordZero or Jet 90. Controls are a matter of preference, but the V15’s trigger controls are great if you only want the vacuum to run while your holding it.
The V15 also includes sensors to automatically detect what floor type you are currently cleaning on, and adjust the suction power accordingly. You can always set the suction mode if you prefer, but the automatic switching is nice when cleaning multiple floor types in one go.
The screen on the V15 is the most robust out of the 3 vacuums. It gives you real time information on how much battery power is left and how many particles the V15 is cleaning in the current session.
Long Hair Test
Additionally, we were able to test how the CordZero and V15 managed long strands of hair.
To perform this test, we place the hair in the direct cleaning path of the vacuum, and run it over the hair seeing how much was removed. We then check the brushroll and see if any of the strands were tangled in the brushroll.
For this tests we used the universal power nozzle on the Cordzero and the High Torque head for the V15. Both vacuums were able to remove the hair well during our tests.

The brushroll of the CordZero did a great job at managing the incoming hair only having a few strands wrap around the brushroll. While it is important to note it happened, only a few strands remained during our tests.
LG CordZero
Dyson V15
Similarly to the CordZero the V15 was able to completely remove the hair, but still had a few strands tangled in the brushroll.
Pet Hair Test
The pet hair test uses similar methods to the hair test. We place pet hair on high pile carpet and test the vacuum’s abilities to remove it. We also check if any pet fur is tangled in the brushroll.
Both the CordZero and V15 did a great job at removing the pet fur.

With the V15, we used the standard brushroll and it did a fantastic job at managing the pet fur. It removed the majority of the pet fur, and I only noticed a few strands on the carpet after cleaning.
Design
The Jet 90, CordZero, and V15 are similar in size and shape, and are designed to be light-weight. While the 3 vacuums are made from different companies, there are a few aspects that remain similar.
- Multi-floor cleaning head
- Click-in cleaning tools
- Click-in battery
- Extension wand
- In-hand dust bin (about the same capacity)
- 3 suction levels
- Washable filter
- Solid cleaning performance
While there are a lot of similarities between these high-end vacuums, there are some key differences that make each unique.
- Charing Base
- Dust bin
- Display
- Controls
#1. Charging Base
Depending on your preferences, which charging base you prefer may influence which vacuum best fits you. The Samsung Jet 90 includes a free standing base that can be moved as needed. Additionally, it is able to charge 2 batteries and store the accessories of the vacuum.
LG takes the free-standing base idea and adds more too it. While you lose the ability to easily adjust the location of the base, the CordZero’s auto empty base has a lot of functionality. It can automatically empty the dust bin of the vacuum, on top of storing the accessories and charging a back-up battery.
If you don’t need the auto empty feature, but still want a singular place for your vacuum, the Dyson V15 includes a wall hanging station. This base can charge the vacuum while its docked and stores accessories.
#2. Dust Bin
The vacuum body of the CordZero includes a compressor on the side to increase the amount of debris it can store. Using the compressor compacts all the debris and increases the amount of space left. This is great when managing pet fur.
If you forgo the auto empty feature of the CordZero, the V15 includes a uniquely shaped dust bin designed to be more easily emptied.
It uses a point-and-shoot style dust bin which allows the user to quickly empty it and continue cleaning as needed.
#3. Display
The display on the LG A9 is the most basic of the three vacuums only including an indication of the remaining battery life.
On the other hand, the Jet 90‘s display has a little more information. This display is still simple showing the current suction mode and how much battery life is left.
Finally, the most robust display of the 3 vacuums comes with the V15.
This display shows the remaining run time depending on the suction mode as well as real time information on what you are cleaning. The V15 includes sensors that will count the incoming particles and give you a real time report on the display.
#4. Controls
The final major difference between the 3 vacuums is how you control them. This is mostly preferential and doesn’t impact the overall cleaning performance of the vacuum.
The Jet 90 and CordZero both use buttons to control the device. With these buttons you can switch through the different suction mode and turn the device on and off.
The V15 uses a different style of controls. To change modes there is a simple button on the top similarly to the Jet 90 and CordZero. However, to power the device the V15 uses a trigger rather than a button. This is a nice addition for those who only want to power the device when they are holding it.
Size & Dimensions
Samsung Jet 90
- Length: 44.9″
- Width: 8.3″
- Depth: 9.9″
- Weight: 6.2 lbs.
LG CordZero

Dyson V15
- Length: 49.6″
- Width: 9.8″
- Depth: 10.3″
- Weight: 6.8 lbs.
The 3 different vacuums are incredibly similar in size, shape, and weight. The V15 has a few more inches of length, which makes it a little more comfortable for taller people.
The Jet 90 and CordZero both have the telescoping wand, which adds variability to the length of the device but doesn’t increase the maximum length.
Accessories & Parts
These 3 high-end stick vacuums come with a common assortment of accessories. However, each vacuum includes a unique set of attachments that differentiate it from the others.

Where are the differences?
This table gives a good indication of what accessory is included with each vacuum, But what are the key differences? Below, we have listed the accessories that are most notable.
Soft Brush Cleaning head: Both the Jet 90 and V15 come with a soft brush cleaning head, where the CordZero doesn’t. The soft brush is designed for hardwood floors and impacts cleaning performance.
While both of these vacuums includes a soft brush attachment, Dyson’s Fluffy has a laser that illuminates finer dust particles making them easier to clean.
Including a soft brush tool is nice, but Dyson’s Fluffy has more functionality.
WINNER: Dyson V15
Pet nozzle: The CordZero’s Pet nozzle is LG’s answer for long hair management. The brushroll is easily removed for maintenance and reduces the likelihood of hair getting tangled.
WINNER: LG CordZero
Dirt brush: This brush is great for managing dirt on hard surfaces. The tougher bristles are great for scrubbing off dirt while you clean.
WINNER: Dyson V15
Auto Empty Base: While Dyson includes the wall mount, and Samsung includes the free standing base, they don’t compare to LG’s auto-empty base.
The CordZero’s charging station can hold attachments, store batteries, and empty the dust bin of the vacuum.
Jet 90’s base is similar, in that it can hold accessories and charge another battery simultaneously, but it doesn’t have auto empty capabilities.
There is a level of preference here, but most people would enjoy LG’s base due to its usability.
WINNER: LG CordZero
Dusting brush: This attachment for the V15 designed to be used on softer materials while you are cleaning.
WINNER: Dyson V15
Flexible tool: This gives the Jet 90 some extra maneuverability while cleaning. The Flexible tool is great for those hard to reach corners.
WINNER: Samsung Jet 90
Hair Screw tool: The V15 comes with the Hair Screw tool which replaces the mini-motorized brush that the Jet 90 and CordZero have. The tapered design is better at managing long hair without tangling.
WINNER: Dyson V15
Battery: All vacuum models include a click-in battery that can removed easily. The difference lies with LG. They chose to include an additional battery that can be charged in the base.
WINNER: LG CordZero

Should you buy the LG CordZero All in One?
I would recommend the LG CordZero All in One to people who:
- Auto Empty Base: The auto empty base is the ultimate companion to the CordZero. It can store all the included accessories, charges the extra included battery, and has the ability to empty the vacuums dust bin automatically. While it isn’t as mobile as the Jet 90’s, it adds a lot of functionality to the vacuum overall.
- Extended cleaning with good performance: The second battery allows the device to work for a long period of time. During our run time tests, a single LG battery ran for 56 minutes, which can be doubled with the additional battery. This long run time is great on a vacuum that cleans well. The CordZero removed 99% of total debris if you exclude cereal from our tests, showcasing great performance.
