Washable Pet Bed with Solid Core Foam
eLuxury Supply Pet BedThe eLuxury Supply pet bed is a rectangle bed available in three different sizes and five colors. It uses 5″ of solid core foam (2″ memory foam + 3″ poly support foam) with a washable, stain-resistant canvas cover. Overall, I was impressed with this bed and it feels consistent with the build quality we’re seen from eLuxury historically.Check Price

4 Year Test
The eLuxury pet bed tested here is not the first bed from this company that we (and our dog, Tibbers) have put to the test. In fact, our pup has been testing the original eLuxury pet bed for over 4 years.
Our dog liked it right away and has continued to use it as their primary bed (when not sleeping in our human bed).
The original bed is also washable and we have washed the cover numerous times, with no noticeable sign of wear or shrinkage. It fits as well today as it did when we originally got it.
I will make a note here that the foam layers are a bit different in the original eLuxury pet bed and the newer version.
Both the original pet bed and the updated version use 5″ of foam, but the breakdown is a little different.
- 2.5″ latex foam
- 2.5″ support foam
- 2″ latex foam
- 3″ support foam
The original bed used 2.5″ of latex foam with a 2.5″ support foam base while this new version uses 2″ of memory foam with a 3″ support foam base.
Honestly, I feel like the foam used in the original pet bed was a little better, as latex is a more dynamic and responsive material than memory foam.
But by the same token, the latex version of this bed was also more expensive, so there are pros and cons each way.
The new foam doesn’t seem like the absolute best foam in the world, but for a pet bed it should be more than sufficient. And again, at this price point, it seems to be a reasonable choice.
Both beds use a solid core foam as opposed to shredded foam / poly fiber fill, which you often see in many other places. I much prefer the solid core foam to the shredded alternative.
eLuxurySupply isn’t known for making the absolute highest-end stuff on the market, but their product line is all really solid, holds up well, and is priced in the sweet spot.
For most products I buy that’s the mix I’m looking for.
This bed uses two layers of polyfoam, a large rectangular shape, and a removable, washable cover with durable sides and a soft top comfort layer.
There is a zipper that goes around 3 of the 4 sides, making it easy to take the cover off and wash as needed.
NOTE: There is no liner separating the foam from the washable cover. This issue may be more or less important depending on each user, but felt necessary to note.
The materials used on this pet bed feel pretty solid in terms of quality.
This bed uses:
- 2″ memory foam: softer top layer with a bit of give and the ability to form around your pet as they sleep
- 3″ support foam: denser support foam that helps the bed to keep its shape as well as provide deep support and pressure relief
The exact material of the washable cover depends on what color you select, but for the most part, they’re all waterproof canvas covers with a durable metal zipper.
How big is the bed?
The eLuxury pet bed comes in 3 different sizes, depending on the size of your pet and your living space.
The three sizes are—small, medium, and large.
- Width: 22″
- Length: 26″
- Height: 5″
- Width: 26″
- Length: 36″
- Height: 5″
- Width: 36″
- Length: 45″
- Height: 5″
For our pet (a 30 pound Poodle), the medium size is perfect. It provides enough space for our pup to spread out without being unnecessarily huge in our space.
Is it comfortable?
The comfort level of this bed really comes down to the preferences of your pet. As I mentioned above, I’ve had this bed for over 4 years and our dog still loves it.
If you pet likes to curl up or prefers the protection of a side wall, their preferences may be different.
How firm is the foam?
I would say that the foam is fairly firm…7.5 out of 10, where 10 is the most firm. The top layer of memory foam has some nice sinkage, as is typical for memory foam, but it’s not overly soft.
Is the eLuxury a good value?
Let’s talk about the bottom dollar of eLuxury. Is the value there?
In most cases I would say yes. There are three different price points this pet bed depending on what size you go with.
The smallest bed is about half the cost of the largest bed, which gives you an idea of the range.
Even with the higher price of the bigger beds the value is still good in my opinion. The largest bed is huge. With 5″ of foam on all of these beds, you’re really getting a lot of material for your money.
Of course, the real assessment of value comes down to whether or not your pet likes the feel and design of this particular bed.
Even if it feels like a good value, if your pet doesn’t like the bed, you likely won’t feel like you’re getting your money’s worth.
Should you buy the eLuxury for your pet?
I would recommend the eLuxury if you’re looking for the following in a pet bed:
- Washable cover: If you have pets, you likely know that hey can be messy, smelly, or accident prone. Having a washable cover is an absolute must for a pet bed, in my view.
- 3 different sizes: If you have multiple pets and want a consistent-looking set of beds, or if you’re just not sure what size is right for your pet, the 3 versions of the eLuxury bed provide a nice range of sizes for your pet. The different size options are nice to have, as you can get a bed that’s just the right size, without being too big.
- Memory foam comfort: Many lower quality pet beds use shredded foam whereas this pet uses 2″ solid memory foam with a 3″ layer of support foam. The memory foam really provides great pressure relief for pets who may suffer from arthritic or joint pain.
Memory Foam Pet Bed
The eLuxury supply pet bed has a solid core foam base with dense support foam and a 2″ comfort memory foam top layer. It comes with a washable canvas cover and a durable zipper than spans around 3 of the 4 sides. Overall, this bed feels well made and comfortable (our dog loves it). We’ve been testing the original eLuxury pet bed for over 4 years and our Poodle absolutely loves it. She sleeps on it many hours every day. The original eLuxury pet bed has held up extremely well, even after numerous cover washings. The new version of the eLuxury pet bed seems to be built to a similar standard, even despite the switch from latex to memory foam.
