Nash Design

The design of the Nash air purifier is a tall, white body, with rounded edges, a carrying handle, and controls on the top.

There is an air intake grill on the front of the unit and air output out the top.

This air purifier is designed to clean up to 258 square feet of breathable air, with air changes up to 5 times per hour.

The side of the Nash has a simple white carrying handle that helps to move this air purifier to different rooms.

Compared to models with similar air coverage, the Nash is a bit heavier, so this carrying handle really makes it easier to move it from one space to another.

The Filters

The Nash air purifier uses three filters to purify the air.

1. Fine pre-filter: captures larger particles like dust, lint, or fibers
2. Activated carbon filter: absorbs pollutants, odors, and harmful gasses, removing them from the air
3. HEPA filter: captures particles as small as 0.3 microns

These three filters combined help to purify the air of a range of irritants, helping to ensure that only clean air passes through.

Over time these filters can get clogged. To keep the Nash running at peak performance, it’s important to replace the filters as needed.

The filter indicator light on top of the unit will let you know when it’s time to replace.

The Controls

The controls are located at the top of the purifier and serve the following functions:

• On / Off
• Timer (1, 2, 4, or 8 hr)
• Wifi Connection / Filter Reset
• Fan Speed (1, 2, 3, or Auto)
• Child Lock

To get cycles up and running, you can control the Nash by the following methods:

Performance

For performance testing, we set up the Nash air purifier in a medium-sized room (12×12′) in my home. We used the Temtop LKC-1000S+ professional air quality detector to get a baseline reading for the existing air quality. From there, we let the purifier run for an hour and then re-ran measurements.

The difference between the baseline and post-run data gives a solid picture of how well the air purifier was able to improve indoor air quality.

Good vs. Bad Air Quality

Below, we’ve included information on the testing criteria and what defines good vs. bad air quality.

What were the results?

After 1 hour the Nash air purifier removed 95% of air particulates from the medium-sized room we tested in (~12’x12′).

Nash improved PM2.5 air quality by 96%. Overall, the performance of the Nash air purifier was excellent and it greatly improved the indoor air quality in a reasonable amount of time.

Setup & Usability

Setting up the Nash air purifier is simple. There are a couple of different options in terms of setup.

1. For the fastest setup: Use the physical controls on the top of the purifier; just plug it in and go.
2. For the most convenient setup: Pair your smartphone to the Nash app and control from your phone; pairing takes less than 5 minutes
3. For the “smartest” setup: Pair the Nash to a voice-enabled device like Amazon Alexa or Google Home; pairing takes less than 5 minutes

Maintenance

In order to ensure the best performance, it’s important to regularly maintain the Nash air purifier.

Two of the most important maintenance tasks include:

1. Wiping down the air intake and outlet grills with a dry, lint-free cloth.
2. Replacing the filter as needed.

At normal operation, it is recommended by the manufacturer to change the HEPA+ filter every 6 months (or approximately 1,500 hours). You can find replacement filters here.

Is the Nash purifier a good value?

So is the Nash purifier a good value? The short answer is yes. This purifier really has a lot going for it.

1. Excellent performance
2. Auto mode
3. Wifi-connectivity (with app-based control)
4. Air quality sensors which communicate with the app for real-time ratings

It is a fairly large purifier, larger than other models with comparable area coverage I would say. However, the fact that it offers wifi connectivity at such a good price, makes this purifier a really great value.

If you have room to spare and wifi connectivity is important to you, I would recommend the Nash air purifier.

• Automated controls: This purifier has an “auto mode” which uses senses to automatically detect indoor air quality and PM2.5 levels and adjust accordingly. You can also automate when the purifier runs using a times or based on your local weather (like temperature, sunrise, or sunset).
