Most products on Modern Castle have a unique and customized testing and scoring process. You can read about those specific testing and scoring systems here. For products that fall outside of our core testing categories we use the following general testing and scoring process.

We test and score products using a battery of 5 data-driven tests. Our tests are a mix of objective testing and subjective assessment. This testing process applies to all other products without more dedicated testing processes.

Our 5 testing and scoring categories include:

  1. Performance
  2. Quality
  3. Design
  4. Value
  5. Usability

Performance

Scoring Weight – 20%

Our performance test is a subjective test. We use the product and measure how well it performs its designated purpose.
