Best For
- Aesthetically pleasing look for executive-style offices / conference rooms
- The comfortable cushion can support heavier users
- Exceptional build quality that is designed to last
Considerations
- Armrests are not adjustable
- Paddling on the metal armrests is thin and provides little pressure relief
- No adjustable lumbar or headrest
Our Verdict
The new Oak Hollow Classic Series High Back Executive Chair will stand out in any office environment. Its tall, sleek back, and brush steel accents, give this new Oak Hollow chair a commanding presence. In addition to its impressive looks, the cushions on the chair’s bottom and back offer exceptional support and comfort. Finally, the build quality is exceptional with high-quality materials and, in our opinion, will last several years with daily use.
However, there are a few considerations before buying this executive chair. In our opinion, this might not be ideal as a daily computer/working chair. The Armrests are not adjustable, which could be a problem depending on how close you sit to your desk. Additionally, the padding on the armrests is thin and provides little comfort from the metal armrest. This could be discomforting for long sessions of sitting in the executive chair. Lastly, there is no lumbar adjustment or headrest tilt. These are fixed positions, and might not be suitable for all body types.

Performance
The performance of the Oak Hollow Executive was excellent. It provides adequate cushioning on the seat and back. The cushions are firm to support heavier bodies, yet have enough “fluffiness” to still offer comfort to lighter body types.
The only disappointing aspect of the Executive chair was the armrest padding. It’s thin and you can feel it. Since the armrest is made of metal, the padding does little to prevent your elbows from feeling the hard surface. In our opinion, this might lead to faster fatigue in the chair with no comfortable option to rest your arms.
Quality
Among the Oak Hollow chairs we have tested, the executive chair keeps in line with the quality of material the Oak Hollow brand promises. It earned a perfect score in quality of materials and build. As you assemble the chair, you can feel the strength and durability of all the components.
The leather has a soft and durable feel. While we have no way to tell how the leather will last over repeated use (except to use it over the next several years, which we’re planning to do), with our experience with the Oak Hollow brand, we are of the opinion that the leather will hold up to daily use. However, be careful with the leather to prevent sharp / rough clothing from scratching.
Part | Build Quality |
---|---|
Overall | Excellent |
Cushion | Exceptional |
Arm Rests | Excellent |
Wheels | Excellent |
Back Support | Exceptional |
Chair Base | Exceptional |
Lastly, the chair has a frame and base made of metal, which makes it fairly heavy.
Design
Executive chairs have a few purposes, but the main objective in our opinion is to establish the user’s authority in the room. Much like a king or queen’s throne, it needs to stand out as the chair that governs all.
The sleek black leather paired with the brushed steel can give a commanding presence. Whether the chair will be used in a conference room or your own executive office, the chair will stand out in style.
Value
While this chair is not cheap, the value it brings in durable materials and commanding aesthetics may make the price worth it for some.. As discussed in the design, quality, and performance sections, the chair is a true executive chair. You get your money’s worth
Usability
We do not recommend this be an everyday computer chair. Its true value is in an office or conference room setting. Its purpose is for the individual who wants comfort during meetings, long phone calls with clients, or demonstrating your authority in a one-on-one meeting.

Product Evolution
Oak Hollow is expanding its brand product and now includes several chairs for a variety of use cases, pricing, and styles. The Executive Chair is one of their new product lines that focuses more on the style and appeal of the chair. In comparison to the Aloria, which has adjustability and comfort performance as its focus, the Executive looks to bring style and comfort.
The price of the Executive makes this tied with the Aloria for the most expensive chair by Oak Hollow.

When compared to other chairs we have tested, the Oak Hollow Executive ranks high in style points. It’s comfortable, and we can see it being very useful in an office environment, but it just doesn’t have the features like others we have tested. For example, you cant adjust the position of the headrest, arms rest, or lumbar support. They are fixed positions with a one-size-fits-all mentality.
