First out of the gate, let’s talk about the overall design. The design of these earbuds is sleek and streamline.
The Parts
It has two silicone-based earbuds that have a small loop to help hold it in-ear (loop can be removed, if you desire). The two earbuds are joined by a single audio wire that wraps around the back of your neck, while in use.
Simple Controls
These earbuds connect via Bluetooth. You can control via the app you’re using or the control mechanism on the earbuds themselves. The earbud controls allow you to:
- Adjust the volume up or down
- Skip to the next song
- Repeat the last song
- Pause / play your music
- Answer phone calls / hang up
The controls also have a micro USB charging port for easy charging when the battery is low.
For reference, the battery is said to last a full 24 hours, when fully charged and with volume at 70%.
With a fully drained battery, these earbuds take approximately 1-2 hours to charge up.
Magnetic Design
When not in use, the earbuds are magnetic and simply snap together, helping to prevent the buds from falling off your neck when not in your ear and also preventing tangles when stored away.
Variable Sizes
The iTeknic earbuds include a wide selection of rubber ear pieces for your ear. These earbuds include:
- EarTips: small, medium, and large included
- In-Ear Hooks: small, medium, and large included
Size and Dimensions
Like most other comparable wireless earbuds, the size of these iTeknic headphones is also compact. They are designed to easily fit in a small bag or pocket, making them easy and lightweight to travel with.
From end to end, these headphones are 23″ long, making it long enough to loosely wrap around your neck, but not so long that the excess cord is hanging down your back.

Using the iTeknic Headphones
To really evaluate usability of these headphones, we put them to the test through all of the functions that they advertise. We use this real-life testing method to help score the headphones based on performance and usability.
Getting Set Up
Setting up these earbuds was easy.
- First I charged them up for a couple of hours
- Enable Bluetooth on my phone and connect them
- Pop the buds in my ears
- Fire up Spotify
Listening to Music
Listening to music was also straightforward. I connected my phone to the earbuds in the Bluetooth settings and I was good to go.
I would describe the audio quality as average. It’s not bad by any stretch, but not great.
However, for headphones like this I’m not necessarily looking for audiophile level sound quality. I just want something that works, has a long charge, and isn’t expensive. To that end, iTeknic delivers.
Making Calls
Making calls on the iTeknic earbuds is just as easy as listening to music.
To review this feature, my sister and I did a test call from her cell phone to my cell phone. Phone audio quality is similar to that of the music quality.
It’s quite comparable to my wired earbuds I primarily use for calls.
Working Out
Using these headphones while working out is one of the primary functions advertised on these earbuds. We put them to the test during several extended workout sessions.
In general, the earbuds do a pretty good job of staying in-ear.
However, you do want to make sure you have the right size for your ear. Initially, I had the medium in and they kept falling out of my left ear.
Switching to the smaller size helped them stay securely in-earn.
iTeknic also advertises that these earbuds are sweat-proof and rainproof. Note, this is not the same as waterproof. You can’t swim in these earbuds, but you can sweat.
During the course of my workout, I broke a sweat and didn’t notice any significant changes in the performance of these earbuds.

iTeknic Performance
In addition to the usability features listed above, we also look at a couple features specifically for good performance. In the case of these earbuds, we focused heavily on audio quality and “noise cancelling” capabilities.
Audio Quality
If you’re looking for Bose quality earbuds, rich sound depth, and deep variation between bass and treble, you will likely be disappointed by these earbuds.
The sound quality is good enough at this price point.
Noise-Cancelling Capabilities
Another feature these earbuds claim to have is noise-cancelling capabilities. Noise-cancelling headphones can be really useful in loud environments or on airplanes by muting out unwanted background noise.
So how did iTeknic perform?
Not bad, but certainly not great.
My primary travel headphones are a pair of Bose QuiteComfort noise cancelling headphones, which block virtually all noise. The iTeknic certainly aren’t at that level, but their design and DSP noise cancelling does work together to help minimize noise.

iTeknic IK-BH001 Value
So are these iTeknic sports headphones a good value? Absolutely.
For the low price, these headphones had some nice features, wireless control, and integrated easily with my smartphone.
As added bonuses, the variable size options that come included with the purchase is a nice addition to guarantee the perfect fit.
If you’re looking for a high-end sound, I may recommend looking elsewhere, but if you’re just looking for a solid set of headphones and don’t want to spend a lot, the iTeknic is an excellent option.

Should You Buy the iTeknic Earbuds?
I would recommend the iTeknic wireless earbuds if you’re looking for the following features in a wireless sports headphone:
- Long Battery Life – With a full charge, these earbuds can last for up to 24 hours (with volume at 70%). With the volume turned down, they can last even longer. When it’s time to charge up, they charge via micro USB and it takes 1-2 hours.
- Built-in Mic – If you’re looking for a sports headphone that also has the ability to make calls, the iTeknic is a nice option. Using the same controls that you would use for listening to music, you can easily answer or hang up calls and audio quality was clear and easy to hear through the buds.
- Variable Sizes – With your purchase of these sports earbuds, you’ll also receive 3 sizes (small, medium, and large) of the EarTips as well as three sizes of the In-Ear Hooks. This helps to guarantee that you will have a good snug fit, which improves audio quality and prevents the buds from falling out while you move.

Summary
The iTeknic wireless earbuds provide average audio quality, but offer an exceptionally good value. The wireless design connects via Bluetooth and can run for up to 24 hours. Utilizes DPS noise cancelling, which is a nice extra, but don’t expect perfect performance given the price point and ear bud configuration. All things consider, still a good product and priced well.
