Multi-Cyclone Cleaning System
The design of the multi-cyclone cleaning technology on the Bissell Cleanview Swivel Rewind can help get a deeper clean from floors and carpets.
It also ensures that dirt and debris are pulled into the dirt tank and stay there. This feature helps the filters last longer and reduces maintenance costs.
Brushroll Features
The triple-action brushroll and scatter-free technology on this Cleanview Rewind Pet model help loosen and lift dirt and hard-to-see pet hair from carpets.
The external bristles help to push debris into the path of the brushroll, allowing you to clean closer to baseboards and furniture.
With a 13” wide cleaning path and edge-to-edge brushroll, it takes fewer passes with the vacuum to get the job done.

Accessories & Parts
The Bissell Cleanview Swivel Rewind Pet comes with quite a few accessories and parts:
- Crevice tool
- Extension wand
- Dusting brush
- Pet hair corner tool
- Pet TurboEraser Tool
- Removable cyclone (installed)
- Pre-motor filter (installed)
Tools and Brushes
Crevice tool – a long, rigid extension tool with a thin end for pointed suction. It can be attached to the extension wand to provide more length and to get into hard to reach places, like behind or under furniture. Stores conveniently inside the extension wand when not in use.
Dusting brush – a non-motorized brush tool accessory for dusting blinds, or use in hard to reach areas like ceiling fans and high corners. Can be used with or without the extension wand if needed.
Pet hair corner tool – this non-motorized tool is perfect to use in corners, where pet hair tends to collect. Able to be attached to the extension wand for extra reach.
Pet TurboEraser tool – this motorized brushroll attachment tool is used to get stubborn pet hair out of upholstery and furniture. It can also be attached to the extension wand to give extra reach when using it on the stairs.
Extension wand – the rigid extension wand is used to increase overall reach of this vacuum. This is handy for hard-to-reach spaces and can be used in combination with the other tools listed above.
Removable Cyclone
To keep the Bissell Cleanview running strong, clean the cyclone each time the dirt tank is emptied.
Once the dirt and debris are removed from the dirt tank, twist out the cyclone and wash it. Once it’s completely air dry, pop it back into place before returning the dirt tank to the vacuum cleaner.
Pre-Motor Filter
The pre-motor filter keeps dust particles in the dirt tank and from entering the motor.
The carbon and foam filter can be found inside the lid of the dirt tank. Each piece is removable for easy cleaning and to prolong the life of the vacuum cleaner.
Automatic Cord Rewind
This feature is a welcome addition that isn’t often found on other upright vacuum cleaners. The 27’ long cord wraps under the dirt tank canister when not in use.
When ready to use the vacuum, pull the plug out gently to the desired length. Once done, hold the end of the cord and push the automatic cord rewind button next to the base of the canister. Hold the button until the cord has fully retracted into the vacuum cleaner.

Usability
Like many upright vacuums, the Bissell Cleanview Rewind Pet has a few parts to assemble before you’re up and running. A Phillips screwdriver will get you from out-of-the-box to ready-to-clean.
Assembly is straightforward:
- The upper handle goes into the base, and the two provided screws are then screwed into the base to secure the upper handle.
- Attach the extension wand base and lock it into place.
- Twist and secure the hose into the back of the vacuum.
- Bring the hose up and around the back of the handle to attach it to the base of the vacuum.
- Place the accessory tools into their designated slots and the vacuum is ready for use.
It took us about 5-6 minutes to unbox and assemble the vacuum.
The Bissell Cleanview has multiple settings to make it simple to vacuum across a variety of floor types.
The manual floor height adjustment is located on the top of the brush head. The lowest setting is ideal for bare floors and low pile carpets. The medium setting works for medium pile carpets and the highest setting is best for shag and high pile carpets.
If debris isn’t being picked up or there is resistance when using the vacuum, move the height to the next highest setting and continue vacuuming.
The recline and power pedals are both located to the left rear of the vacuum. The recline pedal is on the left and the power pedal is next to it on the right. This could be a concern when powering down the vacuum in an upright position.
Maneuverability
The swivel steering and relatively lightweight vacuum make maneuverability pretty easy when navigating around the room.
With the motor near the base of the vacuum, the low center of gravity adds to the ease in maneuverability.
Furthermore, having an extension wand included makes it easier to reach from floor to ceiling, and also to use when vacuuming the stairs. The carrying handle makes it easier to move from room to room and to carry up and down the stairs.
Maneuverability Quick Facts
- Weight: 16 pounds
- Turning:
- Hose: 8 feet
- Power: 27’ cord
- Height: 46″
- Back Pivot:
- Width: 13.5” cleaning path
MORE: Even with the 8’ hose and extension wand, the Bissell Cleanview still doesn’t match the 50’ reach of the Dyson Animal 2.
Maintenance
To increase the longevity of the Bissell Cleanview Swivel pet vacuum cleaner, maintenance should be performed when emptying the dirt tank.
- Empty the dirt tank when full
- Remove the carbon and foam filters from the lid, clean and air dry before putting back together
- Twist and remove the cyclone, clean and allow to air dry before replacing
- Once everything is fully dried, click the dirt tank back into place
There are some maintenance costs associated with the Bissell Cleanview Swivel vacuum cleaner. However, the costs are minimal. You can find replacement parts here.
Dirt Tank
The dirt tank has a 1 liter / .91 dry quart capacity cup. When it’s full, simply click the release button at the top of the dirt tank to remove it from the vacuum cleaner.
To empty the tank, hold it over the trash can and press the bottom release button to open the tank. Once all the parts are clean and dry, place the dirt tank back into position and click it firmly into place. Overall, the process was easy and quick.
The tank opening from the bottom is a nice feature as it reduces the amount of dirt and dust particles from going back into the air, and ultimately, back onto the floor.
Is the Bissell Cleanview worth it?
Once all the tests have been done, do we still think the Bissell Crossview is worth it?

- It comes with multiple accessories that store easily on the vacuum.

- Great cleaning performance for small to medium sized debris.
In addition, there is also a 4 year limited warranty from Bissell for any defective or malfunctioning part. It’s important to note exclusions on the warranty coverage:
